Uruguay vs Portugal Match in FIFA World Cup 30 June 2018

The teams from Uruguay and Portugal will meet at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi on Saturday, June 30. It will be in the second of the knockout rounds of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Uruguay arrives here as the first of Group A, while Portugal was second in Group B, although neither has known the defeat in the tournament.

Uruguay is a combined character that works intensively during each game. They are one of the teams with the best defensive level of the entire championship and that is that the duo of central Atletico de Madrid formed by Jose Maria Gimenez and Diego Godin, are a complex wall to flank. The Charruas won their ticket to Russia after being second in the South American confederation, just behind Brazil. They are equally served in the offensive where they have Edison Cavani and his great star and reference, Luis Suarez. To date, Suarez has seen goal on 2 occasions in this Football World Cup.

Uruguay has won its 3 matches in this tournament; by 0-1 against Egypt, 1-0 against Saudi Arabia and 3-0 against the host, Russia. The good feeling of the Celeste team grows every game and is that not only do they have 10 consecutive matches without losing, but they have 6 games without receiving a single goal.

Portugal comes to this game with little lucidity and generating many doubts, but it is nothing that has not happened to the Lusos before before proclaiming themselves champions of a tournament. Not in vain we talk about the FIFA rankings of the national teams and the current European champions. They qualified for the Soccer World Cup as first of Group B, after adding 9 wins and 1 draw. His great star is Cristiano Ronaldo, although the Lusos depend too much on the Real Madrid striker.

In their first game they drew 3 against Spain, in a match in which the Portuguese did very little, but a splendid Christian took charge of snatching 2 points to Spain with a hat-trick. In their second match, Fernando Santos won 1-0 against Morocco, with a new goal by Ronaldo, on this occasion a penalty. His third and final game of the group stage ended in a 1-1 draw against Iran, which gave Portugal the pass as second group behind Spain.
